Proven Systems
Prioritizing the creation of simple systems has proven to be immensely successful in my practice. Over time, my team has been able to provide consistent care & experience to our patients through the implementation of systems. I can help you create your systems from scratch, find inefficiencies in your current approach, or help add in a new specialty center like Dry Eye without compromising your schedule or your sanity!

About Dr. Melanie Denton
Dr. Melanie Denton Dombrowski was born and raised in Michigan, and moved to North Carolina after residency. Her Great Uncle, Dr. Olee J Olsen practiced in the Charlotte area and influenced her to become an Optometrist and move south to North Carolina! She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2005 with a B.S. in Anthropology-Zoology. She then graduated with her Doctorate of Optometry from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. She completed a one year Ocular Disease residency at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida and came to North Carolina in 2010 where she began in private practice. After 5 years of practice and graduating with an MBA from Western Carolina University in 2015, she figured it was about time to “make it happen” in private practice, one way or another. At the beginning of 2015, she set a goal to own her own practice by 2016 one way or another, and on January 4th, 2016 she opened the doors to Salisbury Eyecare and Eyewear.

Dr. Denton has authored many articles regarding contact lenses, practice management and Dry Eye. She currently contributes to professional publications such as Modern Optometry, Review of Optometric Business, Optometry Times, Review of Optometry, and Vision Monday.

She currently serves as a clinical board examiner for the North Carolina State Board of Examiners. She is a Past President of the Mountain District Optometric Society, Past Vice President of Women of Vision, and is active locally in her hometown in several civic organizations.

Dr. Denton owns Salisbury Eyecare and Eyewear, a primary care medically based Optometric practice with an advanced Dry Eye Specialty center.
